How I Met Your Father (HIMYF) is a 10-episode comedy series on Hulu. The pilot episode will be helmed by HIMYM director Pam Fryman. Following the production of the 2014 CBS pilot How I Met Your Dad did not go well. Later, Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger began to write a new version of the previous spin-off’s pilot, re-titled How I Met Your Father, with Carter Bays and Craig Thomas as executive producers.
How I Met Your Father: Plot and Casts!
The plot revolves around the protagonist named Sophie and her love life.
Upon series order announcement, Hilary Duff was cast to star the leading role as Sophie. Chris Lowell joined the cast as the male lead. Francia Raisa, Tom Ainsley, Tien Tran, Suraj Sharma, Brandon Micheal Hall are also cast. However, a few weeks later, Hall exited the role due to a scheduling conflict and Daniel Augustin was cast to replace Hall. The next day, Josh Peck and Ashley Reyes joined the cast in recurring roles. Kim Cattrall was cast in a recurring role as the future version of Duff’s character Sophie.

The official trailer follows Sophie’s (played by Hilary Duff) chaotic love life and friend shenanigans. Kim Cattrall makes an appearance as the narrator, Sophie in the future.
The first episode is set to premiere on Hulu on January 18, 2022. On Nov. 17, 2021, Hulu released a video of the cast announcing that the show will premiere on the streaming platform on the said day.
