Huawei Y9 2019 Announced with Kirin 710 and Quad Cameras

Just a while ago, we witnessed the leaks of the upcoming Huawei Y9 2019 including the recent TENAA appearance. Now, the device has been silently announced by the Chinese giant. As the name indicates, this device will succeed the last years Huawei Y9 (2018).

The Huawei Y9 2019 bears a glass sandwich design with a gradient back available in Midnight Black, Blue Swarovski, and Aurora Purple colors. As far as the specifications are concerned, it comes with a 6.5-inch FullView IPS display with a Full HD+ resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and a Notch on top which aids to the 19:9 aspect ratio.

Under the hood, it is powered by the new HiSilicon Kirin 710 octa-core processor coupled with Mali-G51 GPU. The device comes in two different configurations including 4/64GB and 6/128GB variants. The storage can be expanded further using the given MicroSD card slot.Huawei Y9 2019

In the optics department, the Huawei Y9 2019 comes with a total of four cameras ie. a dual camera set up at the back, featuring a primary 13MP sensor along with a 2MP depth sensor followed by a 16 MP + 2 MP dual front camera combination housed by the Notch on the front for Selfies. Just like other recent Huawei / Honor phones, this too packs certain AI features like smart scene detection and portrait mode within the camera application.

On the software front, the device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.2 skin layered on top. Furthermore, it draws its juice from a 4,000mAh non-removable battery and supports 18W Huawei QuickCharge for fast charging.

Connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port are present onboard. As of now, the company hasn’t made any official statement regarding pricing but the device is expected to go on sale in China from mid-October at an affordable price tag.
