Created by Corinne Kingsbury, In the Dark is a drama series made for The CW. Kingsbury is also the executive producer alongside Ben Stiller, Jackie Cohn, Michael Showalter, Nicky Weinstock, John Weber, Frank Siracusa and Andrea Raffaghello.
The first season of the series premiered on April 4, 2019 followed by the second season on April 16, 2020. The third season was released on June 23, 2021. The series received positive reviews from critics and currently holds an approval rating of 73% on Rotten Tomatoes. The makers have already renewed the series for a fourth season.

In the Dark Plot and Cast
The makers have not revealed much about the plot of In the Dark Season 4. However, it is expected to continue from where the third season ended.
The basic premise follows an irrelevant blind woman in her twenties who drifts through life in a drunken haze. She has two friends – Jess, her roommate and and Tyson, a teenage drug-dealer who saved her from a violent mugging. Out for a walk with her guide dog, Pretzel, she stumbles upon a corpse that must be Tyson’s, but it disappears before the police arrive.
When they do not seem inclined to investigate, Murphy clings onto the only thing that can keep her together: figuring out what happened to her friend. She resolves to solve the murder herself, while also managing her colorful dating life and the job she hates at “Guiding Hope”, a school run by her parents for training guide dogs.
Coming to the cast, the leads of the first three seasons should come back to reprise their roles. This includes Perry Mattfeld, Brooke Markham, Casey Deidrick, Keston John, Morgan Krantz and others. We might get to see some new faces since it is a new season.
In the Dark Season 4 Release Date
The third season of In the Dark was released on July 2021 and it ended on October 2021. The series was renewed for a fourth season before the premiere of Season 3. Season 4 is now scheduled to release on June 6, 2022.
The new season might consist of 13 episodes like the first three seasons. The makers have also confirmed that the fourth season will be the final season.
