Into The Badlands is an American drama series about a warrior and a young boy on a quest to seek enlightenment. It was first released by AMC on November 15, 2015. Set in a dystopian world, it has become a cult favorite among sci-fi and fantasy viewers. We explore the adventures of Sunny through the Badlands. Is it worth watching? Into The Badlands: Plot and Cast

Five hundred years after a Great War, human civilization looks very different. The world rebuilt itself from ruins into a society that condemns guns of any kind. Thus, people now have to rely on close combat weaponry and crossbows. The war also destroyed government and politics as a whole, which resulted in the construction of a feudal society.

The landowners and the barons control the commodities amongst themselves and frequently trade opium and fuel. Barons have control over the cogs, who are the male workforce, and the dolls, the prostitutes. Certain corps of men and women called clippers to maintain peace and power for the barons. Clippers are forbidden from having marital ties and children.

Many lawless bandit groups exist outside of this hierarchy and frequently result in tensions. The Totemists are also an external group; however, they practice idolatry in isolation, so they aren’t disturbed. One never goes outside the Badlands, for it is said that the environment and societal conditions are not habitable. There does exist a myth about a utopian city called Azra.

Sunny, played by Daniel Wu, is ahead clipper and serves the baron, Quinn. He is considered to be the deadliest clipper in existence. Martin Csokas plays Quinn while Orla Brady plays Lydia, Quinn’s first wife. Sarah Bolger plays Quinn’s fiancée, Jade.

Into The Badlands Season 4: Release Date

Into The Badlands enjoyed a good run for three seasons, but was canceled after. It has not been renewed for a fourth season by any production company yet. The last episode came out on May 6, 2019. We enjoyed seeing Sunny at his finest and sharpest!
