Invasion Season 2: Release Date, Plot and more!

Created by Simon Kinberg and David Weil, Invasion is an American science fiction television series. It was first premiered on Apple TV+ on October 22, 2021. The series is all about an alien invasion which is seen through the different perspectives of various people on different continents across the world.

Kinberg and Weil are also the executive producers alongside Jakob Verbruggen, Audrey Chon, Amy Kaufman, Andrew Baldwin, and Elisa Ellis. The series has received a mixed critical response and in December 2021, the series was renewed for a second season.

Invasion Plot and Cast

Unless the series decides to take a significant detour after the events of Season 1, it seems that the program will remain true to its basic concept of an extraterrestrial invasion for the foreseeable future.

Writer and executive producer Simon Kinberg has previously said that this will happen. In response to the announcement of the show’s renewal, creator Steven Kinberg revealed, “I’m incredibly enthusiastic about what we’re planned for Season 2, extending our world in the most personal and grandiose ways”.

The expected cast members for Invasion Season 2 includes Golshifteh Farahani as Aneesha Malik, Shamier Anderson as Trevante Cole, Shioli Kutsuna as Mitsuki Yamato, Firas Nassar as Ahmed Malik, Billy Barratt as Casper Morrow, Azhy Robertson as Luke Malik, Tara Moayedi as Sarah Malik and Daisuke Tsuji as Kaito Kawaguchi.

We would also get to see India Brown as Jamila Huston, Shingo Usami as Akira Hashimoto, Rinko Kikuchi as Hinata, Togo Igawa as Ikuro Murai, Tamara Lawrence as Learah, Paddy Holland as Montgomery Cuttermill, Louis Toghill as Darwin Charles and Cache Vanderpuye as Alfie Ademura. Other cast members include Max Fincham as Jerome Hall, India Jane Francis as Poppy Rees, Aiyana Goodfellow as Fara Aminah, Issac Heslip as Liam Davies, and others.

Invasion Season 2 Release Date

The makers of Invasion has not been declared any release date for Season 2 yet. We can expect it in late 2022 or in 2023.

The new season might consist of ten episodes like the first season. The series is produced by Kinberg Genre and Boat Rocker Media and it is distributed by Apple Inc.
