Developed by Simon Racioppa, Invincible is an American adult animated superhero television series that premiered on March 25, 2021. It is based on the Image Comics series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley.

The show Invincible managed to receive a positive response from everyone. Critics, as well as audiences, have appreciated the show’s story and action sequences. Following the decent feedback towards the first season, Amazon renewed the series for a second and third season in April 2021.

Invincible Plot and Cast

The makers of the Invincible have not yet revealed anything about the plot for the second season. However, the ending of Season 1 left a lot of questions unanswered and left the doors open for another season.

The first season finale was all about the fight between Mark and his father Omni-Man. The upcoming season may focus on Mark taking his responsibility as Earth’s protector. In case the series follows the comics arc, the main plot for Season 2 will be revolved around the Sequids’ plan to take over Earth.

We might get to see Titan growing his crime organization alongside Allen’s adventures in space. There is another subplot where Omni-Man returns to space and is reunited with the Viltrumites. Robert Kirkman has also teased the introduction of a villain from the comics, Angstrom Levy.

Talking about the cast, all the actors from the previous season are expected to return in Season 2. The list includes Steven Yeun, Sandra Oh, J.K. Simmons, Gillian Jacobs, Kevin Michael Richardson, and others.

Invincible Season 2 Release Date

On April 29, 2021, after the release of the final episode of the first season, Amazon renewed the series for a second and third season. But an official release date has not been confirmed yet for Invincible Season 2.

However, for now, we can expect the second season to release sometime towards the end of 2023. Everything is dependent on the time the makers would take to produce the animation.
