So when the brand new show is releasing? What is the plot? Who are playing the lead roles? Continue reading to know further details.
Ironheart Plot and Cast
Ironheart will focus on Riri Williams, a brilliant Black girl inventor who creates a high-tech metal suit like Iron Man’s. Right now, there are no solid details about the show. However, in her initial comic run, Williams was a 15-year-old hailing from Chicago who scores an MIT engineering scholarship.
She eventually finds herself caught up in this universe’s superhero shenanigans after she uses some materials she swiped from campus to make her iron suit. There will already be an established relationship with Shuri from the Black Panther sequel. This character will likely show up in Ironheart in some capacity.
Dominique Thorne will take on the leading role of Riri “Ironheart” Williams in the MCU. She will be joined by Anthony Ramos of Hamilton and In the Heights fame, whose role is currently under wraps. This Is Us mainstay Lyric Ross will portray Riri’s best friend.
In the comics, Riri’s BFF Natalie died way before she became an iron hero but lived on through N.A.T.A.L.I.E. This AI program takes her friend’s form and they work together much as Stark and J.A.R.V.I.S. did. It remains to be seen if this friend will be alive, appear in flashbacks, or operate as AI in the series. Or, perhaps it is not Natalie at all but rather a new character.
Coming to the cast, Dominique Thorne, Anthony Ramos and Lyric Ross have been confirmed for the lead roles. The rest of the cast members are expected to be announced soon.
Ironheart Release Date
The streaming service Disney+ has not announced any official date yet. We can expect it to be aired in the fall of 2022, although an official confirmation is awaited for now.
The show might have six episodes like the previous MCU series. However, MCU has maintained its trend of not revealing a lot of details about its content.
