Tonight Show’s anchor and comedian Jimmy Fallon has apologized for wearing blackface in Saturday Night Live skit from 2000 while impersonating fellow comedian Chris Rock.
Jimmy clarified his stand on Twitter “In 2000, while on SNL, I made a terrible decision to do an impersonation of Chris Rock while in blackface. There is no excuse for this. I am very sorry for making this unquestionably offensive decision and thank all of you for holding me accountable.”
Jimmy accepted that his act was unacceptable. He even thanked the public for their initiative to criticize him for such a work.

The clip from Saturday Night Live is viral now. Some are even demanding the removal of Jimmy from Tonight Show by NBC. This is not the first time this clip has surfaced. It had resurfaced earlier as well but this time it has picked up a storm.
Jimmy Fallon got the reins of his current show back in 2014. The show was passed on to him from another comedian Conan O’Brien. Jimmy was appreciated for his work at The Tonight Show. People were doubtful regarding Jimmy’s ability to conduct the show. But he proved to be quite good at managing things.
