Just like what Warner Bros did with Tenet. Disney has also done the same with Mulan by delaying it to August. Shifting the dates from July 24 to August 21. Yes, it’s true what you hear about Mulan that Disney has delayed Mulan until august.
Just like its animated predecessor, Mulan is also following the same premises. A young woman disguising herself as a man to take her father’s place in the Imperial Army. However, in contrast with many of Disney’s modern remakes. Mulan has come up with a lot of creative liberties, including most of the supporting characters being brand-new (sorry, folks, no Mushu in this one). Also, the story not being musical. Along with Liu Yifei taking part in the eponymous protagonist. The forged includes Donnie Yen, Jason Scott Lee, Yoson An, Gong Li, Tzi Ma, Rosalind Chao, and Jet Li, amongst many others.
Mulan gets Postponed
What you were expecting it to be released on July 24, but it turns around the other way! Things will surely be better in August, right? This is what Disney is expecting & somewhere hoping and you can see this by their action when the studio quietly announced late Friday evening that the forthcoming live-action remake of Mulan is moving for the second time this year due to the coronavirus(COVID-19) pandemic. Previously slated to open on July 24, the Niki Caro-directed picture now has a shiny new release date on Aug. 21.
But there is a piece of good news for those who are desperately waiting to see the upcoming reimagining of the classic Chinese legend, and the good news is that Mulan is not being delayed postponed indefinitely as it was in March.
Earlier it was decided and scheduled to premiere at the end of March. However, due to the global health crisis, the studio in the US decided to delay this movie indefinitely before eventually coming around a month later with July 24 as the release date. That’s over now, not that it is the first major July release to move.
Just because of a global pandemic, Mulan being pushed to the end of next month i.e. August 21 in place of July 24 which is very bad news for the viewers.
While you can see there are various movies such as Artemis Fowl & many more which are being shifted from large cinema Halls or theatres to streaming offerings, but this time Disney is all set to come up with Mulan to show it in Theatres only and not to just make it available to digitally rent or maybe throwing it onto Disney+.
