Is Netflix Back with The Circle Season 2?

Netflix is back with the most-awaited and unique reality show, The Circle.

The Circle is an American reality competition series. It is produced by Studio Lambert and Motion Content group. It first aired on Netflix in January 2020. The show is based on a British TV series of the same name.

The Circle is also known as ‘The Circle US’ to differentiate itself from the original The Circle UK. It is hosted by Michelle Buteau.

And the first season was won by Joey Sasso and was awarded 100,000 Dollars. Shubham Goel was the runner up. And Sammie Cimarelli was awarded the “Fan Favorite” with 10,000 Dollars.

Netflix is also planning to create a similar show in France and Brazil.

The Release Date of Season 2

The expected release of the reality show is said to be in January 2021. It was confirmed for two sequels, “The Circle season 2 and 3”. It is also said that the current time of Pandemic COVID-19 is affecting the making or preparation of the show.

The Concept of the show

‘The Circle’ is a reality show with a concept that serves to be the most unique yet simplest one. The principle rule of the show is that ‘Anybody can be anybody’. The contestants will get their own places to live.

All the contestants will have their places. However, they will live together, but nobody will know they are living together. Nobody can see anybody. Nobody can hear anybody.

One contestant wouldn’t know who the other contestant is. Hence, they don’t know who they are competing with. They can be anybody they want. They can be themselves, or the other versions of themselves, or anybody they never were.

The series was created thinking about the usage of social media. It is a game based on Social media, where you can’t see the other person, neither can you hear the person.

Based on this, the contestants can communicate with others only in one possible way. They will speak a message to “The Circle”. The Circle is apparently a computer program that will transcribe their messages into text. The same way one uses social media apps.

Then the fellow contestants are asked to vote others based on the conversation they had to be the “influencers”. That gives them the power to block any other contestant they want. Hence, that blocked contestant will be eliminated.
