Is Netflix going to renew “Narcos: Mexico” for a third season , Get to know about it

If you are looking for some crime action thriller on Netflix then there’s nothing even close to “Narcos: Mexico” today. After the mixed response of the first season, the makers worked terribly for the second season, and it worked. The second season was undoubtedly a better version on its own. Though Netflix, haven’t announced officially to renew it for the third season we are expecting it soon. There’s still a lot of questions to be solved.

“Narcos: Mexico” is an American crime series created and produced by Chris Brancato, Carlo Bernard, and Doug Miro. It is exclusively created for Netflix. It was developed with the intention of the continuation of the Netflix series “Narcos” as its fourth season, but later on, it was decided to present it as a companion series. It deals with the illegal drug trade in Mexico whereas the original series was based on the illegal drug trade in Columbia.

Cast

Michael Pena as Kiki Camarena and Diego Luna as Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo played the lead roles in this series. They were much appreciated for their work and received a lot many compliments. Other cast members include – Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Alyssa Diaz, Joaquín Cosío, José María Yazpik, Matt Letscher, Ernesto Alterio, Alejandro Edda, Fernanda Urrejola, Teresa Ruiz, Aaron Staton, Lenny Jacobson, Gerardo Taracena, Julio Cesar Cedillo, Scoot McNairy, Alfonso Dosal, Mayra Hermosillo, Manuel Masalva, Miguel Rodart and Alex Knight.

Synopsis

“Narcos: Mexico” is set in Mexico, where the traffickers were low and the cannabis used to grow on a very large scale. That was the time when the drug war started between the growers and dealers. This series presents the rise of Guadalajara Cartel in the 1980s as Félix Gallardo, who unites the traffickers and made a huge empire out of them.

To deal with the outgrowing of such massive illegal structures, Drug Enforcement Administration(DEA) assigned a special agent Kiki Camarena. Kiki with his wife and young son moves from California to Guadalajara as it was clear that the assigned task is not gonna be easy doing. This series also represents the impairments of the drugs and their demerits in all causes. Overall it’s an amazing action thriller to watch and kill time.

Release date

With the announcement of the renovation of Narcos for two more seasons, by Netflix on September 6, 2016, it was quite clear that this series will be in the long run. Production of the first season of the “Narcos: Mexico” started in late 2017. It was released on December 5, 2018, on Netflix. It was also renewed for the second season which was released on February 13, 2020. There’s still no official announcement for the release of the fourth season, therefore we have to wait a bit for it.
