Prodigal Son is a series that shows you a journey of emotions, betrayal, estranged, and psychotic father coming back with the talented son, for a deed. However, the story then takes a turn after the son feels like he’s going to turn like his father. This is a story of a voyage of Father and Son.

The first season finale of the series Prodigal Son had been aired recently. So fans are now waiting for anything new to watch around this series. Fans are speculating what is going to come next?

The cast of the show

Tom Payne as Malcolm Bright (formerly known as Malcolm Whitly). He played the character of a former FBI official who now works for the NYPD. He is the son of the criminal.

Michael Sheen as Dr. Martin Whitly. He played Malcolm’s father who is currently in an asylum after committing 23 murders as “the Surgeon”.

Lou Diamond Philips as Gil Arroyo. He was the arresting officer of Martin Whitly, and since then, he has acted as a surrogate father of Malcolm.

Halston Sage as Ainsley Whitly. She played Malcolm’s younger sister and a TV news reporter.

Aurora Perrineau as Det. Dani Powell. An officer under Gil’s command. He’s also sympathetic to Malcolm’s personal issues.

Frank Harts as Det. JT Tarmel. Also an officer under Gil’s command.

Keiko Agena as Dr. Edrisa Tanaka. Also, an NYPD medical examiner, who has an interest in Malcolm.

Bellamy Young as Jessica Whitly. Played the role of Malcolm’s mother.

Creators’ say on the making of season 2

The creators of the show Sam Sklaver and Chris Fedak in an interview with ‘Deadline’ spoke about the future of the Fox TV show. They gave a few answers to them. Both the creators have the plots ready or at least they are planning the story. They both seem really excited about the show.

After asked if they’d like to experiment with the other actors of the cast and would like to show the story through their perspective, they said – “But I also think we could see it through Jessica’s viewpoint. To a smaller extent, Gil’s. Everyone who is in Martin’s life, the idea at the core of this show is what if your father was a serial killer but I’m just as fascinated by the idea of what if your husband was a serial killer.”

They further continued – “So, I do think, we’re so blessed with Bellamy, Halston, and Tom, this Whitly family, we can focus on so many aspects of them and we know that our actors can deliver with such high caliber, we can’t really do any wrong, hopefully.”
