‘The Vampire Diaries’ bided goodbye to its fans in 2017. And since then fans couldn’t accept it has finally over.
The show had been originally adapted by the novel series ‘The Vampire Diaries’. L.J Smith has written the novel series. Whereas Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec had developed the series.
The Vampire Diaries had an immense fanbase. It still has a huge fan following and fan base. As said, fans couldn’t accept that they were gone until and unless the eight seasons of the show premiered. After that, the creators announced that will be the last season of The Vampire Diaries.
Each and every cast member got famed and was loved by the fans. The Vampire Diaries stands to be an American supernatural teen drama television series. The series originally premiered on The CW from September 10, 2009, to March 10, 2017. Then it was adopted by streaming platforms like ‘Amazon Prime’ and ‘Netflix’.
It aired a total of 171 episodes over eight seasons. And now, it is said that The Vampire Diaries 9 is in the happening. However, we still don’t know if it is rumor or it’s really happening.

‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 9 Updates
Fans would be thrilled to hear that one of the favorite teen supernatural dramas is in the happening. However, unfortunately, we feel bad to break that to you. But, there is no official announcement from the makers.
However, if rumors could be taken into consideration. Then the ninth season of The Vampire Diaries will be released in March of next year.
And if it is renewed for the ninth season, odds suggests that it will have 22 episodes. The number is mere hoped-for as the other seasons of The Vampire Diaries had 22 episodes. However, only season 4 and 8 had 16 and 23 episodes, respectively.
The Vampire Diaries could happen. But, until the official announcement from the creators doesn’t come, we can’t say if that’s a fact.
The CW hasn’t said anything on this matter yet. Neither did they clear if it’s a rumor or not.
‘The Vampire Diaries’ Cast & Creators’ Say on the Renewal
Julie Plec, the Co-developer of ‘The Vampire Diaries’, has disparaged the rumors of the renewal of the show. She also affirmed that she is working on other spin-offs. However, she said that she is affirmative about anything happening associated with the season.
Plec also said that they are thrilled with the end of The Vampire Diaries. And the season eight was the final season.

Nina Dobrev, who played Elena Gilbert disapproved her any contribution to season 9 if happening. She wouldn’t be coming back.
Ian Somerhalder, on the other hand, declined his role too.
Hence, everything so far is rumor and we or anybody couldn’t clear it until the creators or the CW clears the air.
However, it is true that we would love to see Stefan, Damon, Caroline, & Elena on screen together again, wouldn’t we?
