Is There a Van Helsing Season 6 ? Know More!

Yes, you heard it right. Unfortunately, Netflix has not renewed “Van Helsing” for season 6 and has announced that Season 5 will be the last one. This news came after Netflix renewed and announced a new season i.e. season 5 of the series.

“We are thrilled to be able to bring the amazing Van Helsing saga to a close. This could not have been done without the support of our incredible cast, crew, Syfy, Netflix [which pays to stream the series] and Super Ecran,” said Chad Oaks, the executive producer.

“We are so proud of Van Helsing and would like to thank Syfy and the amazing fans who embraced this series. We are excited to end the show on its own terms and to give our story, these characters, and our fans the conclusion they so richly deserve,” said Daniel March, television managing partner. Sad, but true.

When will Season 5 release?

There is no official announcement of the dates, but we speculate that the new season will release somewhere in the last months of 2020. Also, we have no trailers or official “sneak peeks” from season 5.

How did the story “Van Helsing” start?

Based on Zenescope’s graphic novella “Helsing”, the series’ first episode premiered on September 23, 2016.  Vanessa Van Helsing, a descendant of Abraham Van Helsing (Bram Stoker’s Dracula), wakes up in a post-apocalyptic world,  where, after the eruption of Yellowstone Calderon, ashes covered the sky and blocked all the sunlight. Due to this, humans were converted to Vampires. Vanessa is protected by the Marines and the doctor who saved her life. Vanessa tries to save the Earth from the Vampires while saving herself for the human lineage to continue. “Van Helsing” was created by Neil LaBute and directed by David Winning. The series ran for 52 episodes till season 4 and the new season has 13 more to come. “Van Helsing” premiered on Syfy channel and Netflix.
