Jen Logan Of Jenz Journeys Explains Why She Started Her Successful Blog

Today she opens up as to why she decided to start her blog.
My middle daughter had an arduous mental health battle. I started my travel blog as a way to keep my mind calm during my daughters mental health journey, eg at her appointments and so on. Once Covid hit I remained fairly quiet on my Instagram posting old content due to so kickback from international followers who were not familiar with Canadian pandemic rules (eg we were permitted to do social distancing hikes etc) so to be mindful of all of my followers concerns I took a step back from my social media.

My daughter passed away on August 24th, 2020. After she passed I decided to start my “Adventures in Covidland” series – Covid friendly outings and adventures where regionally permitted during our ongoing pandemic. Inspired by Kaelynn’s passing, I partnered with Ontario businesses that were open to help show people that there are things we could do safety to support businesses during the pandemic at each various stage. So many small businesses closed in Canada thanks to Covid, thE stats are staggering. I believed this was a way to help our community while cherishing and living life fully, while being respectful and safe. Life is a gift, we don’t know how long we have and therefore I feel we should live it to the fullest again.
My series “Adventures in Covidland” was well received and I out grew my previous handle.
In February of 2021, Valentine’s Day to be precise, I chose to love my company and take it to the next level and rebranded to @jenzjourneys
I continue to cover local outings and events and of course my niche unusual outings, finds and stays!

My brand is becoming a known name in the Toronto circuit and I continue to occasionally post my “Dreaming of Vacation series” as global travels are also part of my content and I am anxiously awaiting international travel to recommence again fully!
