Popular American television game show Jeopardy! has been created by Merv Griffin. The concept of the show is considered very unique in comparison to other game shows. In this game show, general knowledge clues are provided to contestants in the form of answers and then they need to create a response in the form of a question. It originally made its debut on 30th March 1964 on NBC and aired till 3rd January 1975. The NBC versions were hosted by Art Fleming and Don Pardo served as the announcer till 1975. Later John Harlan was the announcer from 1978-1979.
Around 8,000 episodes have been aired till now and the show has been a recipient of 39 Daytime Emmy Awards and a Peabody Award. The 37th season recently premiered on 14th September 2020 and has been highly successful. The 2021 version is being produced by Sony Pictures Television. Now according to sources, the next season is also being planned. Detailed information has not been revealed about Season 38 but it will surely be successful just like the previous seasons.
Release Date of Jeopardy! Season 38
According to the timeline, the 38th season of Jeopardy! will premiere on 20th September 2021 and will end on 29th July 2022. The summer repeats would start from 1st August 2022. If everything goes well, then the new season would release on the mentioned dates.
Cast of Jeopardy! Season 38
Details about the returning cast is still unknown but there will be a new host for the new season and this will be happening for the first time. A few other changes will also be made. The open graphics might change and the introduction of the contestants, Daily Double, Video Daily Double, Double Jeopardy!, Final Jeopardy! graphics and the split-screen cards would be changed to match the title card of the season. The new season will be completely distributed by CBS Media Ventures.
