John Wick 4: We might see Parabellum’s unseen and unused footage in the fourth film.

Earlier, John Wick’s fourth installment had a delay in release date due to the uncalled pandemic crisis and the production hasn’t started yet, but we hear that the movie is in the making without the start of principal photography. The director Chad Stahelski has revealed some details about the fourth installment and maybe we are in for some grueling action scenes to return from “Parabellum”.

“There’s a couple of things. I like the thematics. Obviously, you can see the influences of the old Westerns and the old Samurai films. All the Arthurian tales for chivalry and all that kind of stuff, back to that. We had a couple of overlapping thematics, and I stripped it down to the bare essentials. And there were two action sequences that we had really kind of conceived, but we just didn’t have room for them. So, we pulled them from the movie. And I’d like to think that 90 percent of what I pulled, there’s a place in John Wick 4 that I can definitely reinsert them.” Chad told The Hollywood Reporter in a lengthy interview.

Obviously, the scenes are not pasted just for the fun of the action sequences or to lure the theatre audience, Chad cleared it very well that the primary approach will always be the storytelling.

“Obviously, the Wicks isn’t formulaic or anything like that, so it takes a little while to kind of come up with the thematics we want to do and how nutty and subversive we want to be on storytelling. So, it’s been a lot of back and forth to really try and crack what we want to do with the next John Wick.”

The reason why these footages were left unturned during “Parabellum” was that Stahelski thought  “Parabellum” will be the last of “John Wick”, but before the release, both Reeves and Stahelski discussed and got to a point where there had to be the fourth installment, and thus these sequences did not win the editing table, but since they were important enough, they are getting a reboot in “John Wick 4”.

This comes as good news for the fans of  Reeves and “Wick” alike as during this pandemic maybe “John Wick 4” is the only production still working and making a potential film for the audiences. After the delay, “John Wick 4” is set to release on May 27, 2022.

I do not hate people, but I despise their existence. Hi, I’m an actor, writer, poet, visual artist, a man of science and also the least favourite person in my family. Our beloved Hemingway, once said "There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed." I believed in this quote humbly, truly and faithfully, now I have Anemia. I hope you like my works and if you do then please tell the President about it (seriously, all we want is fame).
