Judge Steve Harvey: Plot and Details!
In each one-hour episode, Harvey will take on a variety of conflicts and characters in his courtroom – from small claims to big disputes and everything in between. Harvey plays by his own rules, basing his courtroom on his own life experiences and some good old common sense.
“Always good to come to court when you can’t lose,” Harvey says in the promo. “In my courtroom, I speak the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. I got a feeling I’m about to hear a whole lot of nonsense.”I’m extremely excited for the opportunity to continue my fruitful partnership with ABC and collaborate with them on my next venture,” Harvey said in a statement. “Viewers tuning into Judge Steve Harvey will watch as I tackle tough and, at times, entertaining issues while also providing much-needed advice and good old-fashioned common sense to the litigants in my court.”
Judge Steve Harvey is produced by Den of Thieves in association with Walt Disney Television’s newly formed alternative unit. Steve Harvey, Brandon Williams, Den of Thieves’ Jesse Ignjatovic, Evan Prager, and Jared Morell, and showrunner Myeshia Mizuno serve as executive producers.

Judging by the show’s teaser, it’s safe to say Steve’s signature reactions will be a big part of the show. In the span of just over a minute, Steve is seen wide-eyed and in shock over some of the cases. He even references sliding into DMs, so you know this show is going to be a hilariously good time.
It is set to premiere on January 4 at 8 pm., the new courtroom series will feature Steve, gavel in hand, as he judges everything from small claims to major disagreements.
