Justice League “Snyder’s Cut”: New Fan Art depicts “Darkseid”

The “Snyder’s Cut” of “Justice League” will be released on HBO Max under the directorial venture of Zack Snyder. The campaign for the release of Snyder’s cut started sometime around 2017 after the fans came to know that the original “Justice League” by Snyder was much better than the released version. Joss Whedon’s film was highly criticised and was a box office disappointment. The campaign grew louder and louder as fans came to know that the production of Snyder’s cut was almost complete and only post-production was left. Snyder’s Cut of “Justice League” will now be released sometime in 2021. Following the news, fans have started procrastinating about the film and some of them have also created arts and videos based on the happenings in Snyder’s version. One of this instance is seen when a fan art has illustrated how Darkseid featured in “Justice League” might look like.

Snyder has already commented about his version on sites like Vero and Twitter, he has elaborated that his version will be much longer and darker than Whedon’s version. Darkseid should’ve been a major villain in “Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice”, but was replaced by “Steppenwolf”. Snyder, recently on an interview, confirmed that Darkseid would absolutely feature in his film and Ray porter was consequently announced to be the person cast for the role. Although, after this, there have been no updates and “First-looks” released about the villain. Fans have only seen Darkseid as his younger self “Uxas”.

Digital Artist Chris Ave has interpreted and illustrated Darkseid according to his imagination as to how Snyder’s Cut would show the villain. The artwork has been inspired by both, the comic book version of Darkseid and off course Snyder’s vision of his characters in different movies. The image shows the villain walking across a desolate, fiery landscape. He wears armour and strides forwards with purpose and bright red eyes. You can see the artwork below.

The Art conceives “Darkseid” to be dominating and daunting villain. It’s as if he was made to challenge the conceptions of the Justice League and engage in severe confrontations. The problem with Steppenwolf was that he wasn’t a well-received advocate of doom. The CGI used to depict his characteristics was sloppy and “unreal”. The failure of “Steppenwolf” as a villain lied in the script, VFX and judgement of the character altogether.

While Chris Ave presents a totally opposing featurette of “Darkseid” compared to “Steppenwolf”. We only hope that Snyder doesn’t disappoint with his version of “Darkseid” as did “Thanos” and “Steppenwolf”. Fans are truly excited and happy about their victory to bring “Snyder’s Cut” back to the screen, now it’s in Snyder’s hand to accomplish this hefty feat and cherish his image as a good director. He certainly has the time and budget to do so.

“When Zack and Debbie shared the extraordinary vision of where Zack wanted to take Justice League, my team and our counterparts at Warner Bros. took it as a mission to solve the many issues that stood in the way, Thanks to the partnership at Warner Bros. and the relentless pursuit of the entire WarnerMax team we are able to deliver this incredibly exciting moment for Zack, the fans and HBO Max,” said Kevin Reilly, Chief Content Officer at HBO Max, President, TNT, TBS, and truTV about the release of “Snyder’s Cut” after this long time.

I do not hate people, but I despise their existence. Hi, I’m an actor, writer, poet, visual artist, a man of science and also the least favourite person in my family. Our beloved Hemingway, once said "There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed." I believed in this quote humbly, truly and faithfully, now I have Anemia. I hope you like my works and if you do then please tell the President about it (seriously, all we want is fame).
