Killing Eve is a British dark comedy-drama spy thriller television series. Sid Gentle Films produced this show for BBC America in the United Kingdom.  Each of the show’s series is led by a different female head writer. This is based on the Villanelle novel series by Luke Jennings.

The show has been highly successful in both the United States and the United Kingdom. It received critical acclamation for both the first and second series, particularly for its writing and the lead actresses’ performances.

WHAT IS ‘KILLING EVE’ ABOUT?

According to Wikipedia, “Bored with her protection role within the British intelligence agencies, Eve Polastri is overly interested in female assassins, their psychologies and their methods of killing. After brashly investigating behind-the-scenes in relation to a witness she is handling, she is fired from MI5. However, to her delight, she is recruited by a secret division within MI6 chasing an international assassin who calls herself Villanelle. Eve crosses paths with Villanelle and discovers that members within both of their secret circles may be more interconnected than she is comfortable with, but forms an obsession with Villanelle that is more than enthusiastically reciprocated. Both women begin to focus less on their initial missions in order to desperately learn more about the other”

KILLING EVE CAST:

In this show, the main casts include Sandra Oh as Eve Polastri who is an agent with MI5 and Jodie Comer as Oksana Astankova / Villanelle who is a psychopathic, skilled assassin. We can also see Fiona Shaw act as Carolyn Martens, head of the Russia Section at MI6. Kim Bodnia portrays the role of Konstantin Vasiliev who’s Villanelle’s handler.

KILLING EVE SEASON 4 RELEASE DATE?

In January, BBC American renewed the show for a fourth season. However, the production for the same has come to a halt due to the pandemic. We could be waiting for a long duration to see the fourth season. The predicted date for the debut of this season is sometime in late 2021.
