Kung Fu Season 3: Release Date, Plot, Cast and more!

The third season of Kung Fu is a fortnight away from its release and the fans are all the more hyped to get a second dose of their beloved drama in the very same year. Developed by Christina M. Kim, Kung Fu is a martial arts action-adventure TV series based on Ed Spielman’s 1970s America series that bore the same title. The first season of the series was released on April 7, 2021, followed by the second season which was launched on March 9, 2022. Keep reading to know more about the upcoming series of Kung Fu.

Kung Fu Season 3: Plot and Cast

Kung Fu follows the life of Nicky Shen, a young Chinese-American woman who returns to America after dropping out of Havard and after three years of isolating herself in an old monastery in China. On returning, she puts to use her Shaolin values and martial arts skills to safeguard her community in San Francisco from the hands of crime and corruption, especially driven by the Triad. This she does while managing her estranged family and hunting down the murderer of her Shaolin mentor who is now after her. The plot of season 3 builds on the Shen’s preparing for the grand opening of Harmony Dumplings and learning that they have turned into the victims of their Chinatown’s latest crime wave. With this in mind, Nicky comes across Bo, a new and mysterious face in Nicky’s city that has made her wonder who could that be. If that wasn’t enough, someone’s unexpected advent from the past has rocked Nicky to her core.

The primary cast of Kung Fu is retained for the third season. It comprises Olivia Liang as Nicky Shen, Kheng Hua Tan as Mei-Li Shen, Eddie Liu as Henry Yan, Shannon Dang as Althea Shen, Jon Prasida as Ryan Shen, Gavin Stenhouse as Evan Hartley, Tony Chung as Dennis Soong, Yvonne Chapman as Zhang Zhilan, JB Tadena as Sebastian, and Tzi Ma as Jin Shen. The cast also includes Ben Levin as Bo and Kim Rhodes as Carrie.
