Last Man Standing Season 9 – Cast and more interesting updates!

Last Man Standing is a sitcom starring Tim Allen. The show first premiered on ABC in 2011. Seven seasons of Last Man Standing aired on ABC from 2011 to 2017. ABC cancelled the show in 2017 after six seasons. It was then picked up by Fox a year later. Last Man Standing is created by Jack Burditt. 

The seventh season of Last Man Standing, its debut season on Fox, premiered in September 2018. It aired in the same Friday night slot as it did for five out of the six seasons on ABC. The show was renewed for an eighth season in May 2019, and it premiered on January 2, 2020. The eighth season had 21 episodes instead of the regular 22; and this was because the COVID-19 pandemic had caused the entire television and film industry to shut down in the USA.

Last Man Standing was renewed for a ninth season by Fox in May, 2020.

Cast of Last Man Standing Season 9

Tim Allen stars as the protagonist of the show, Michael Martin “Mike” Baxter, the director of marketing for the Outdoor Man chain of sporting goods stores. Nancy Travis stars as Mike’s wife, Vanessa Baxter. Together, the couple have three daughters. Amanda Fuller stars as Kristin Beth Baxter Vogelson, the oldest of the three daughters. Molly McCook, who replaced Molly Ephraim in season seven as Amanda Elaine “Mandy” Baxter-Anderson, is the middle daughter. Kaitlyn Denver stars as the youngest daughter Eve Baxter. 

Christoph Sanders stars as Kyle Anderson, an employee at Outdoor Man and Mandy’s husband. Hector Elizondo stars as Edward “Ed” Alzate, Mike’s business partner. Jordan Masterson stars as Ryan Vogelson, Kristin’s husband. Jonathan Adams stars as Charles Marian “Chuck” Larabee, Mike and Vanessa’s neigbour, and (later) the head of security at Outdoor Man. Krista Marie Yu, who joined the cast in season 7, stars as Jen, Vanessa’s foreign exchange student who later moves in with Mike and Vanessa.

Last Man Standing Season 9- What we know so far

Season 8 of Last Man Standing had a rating of 0.74 in the 18-49 category, and averaged 4.3 million total viewers in the Live+Same day ratings. It stood at number 6 in Fox’s list of scripted shows of 2019-20. However, in terms of viewership, Last Man Standing was at number 3 in the same list, only bettered by the two 9-1-1 shows. The show was renewed for a ninth season in May, 2020. Season 9 of Last Man Standing is scheduled to premiere in Fox’s 2021 slate.
