The show stars Tim Allen as an executive at a chain of sports goods stores based in Denver, Colorado, who is the married father of three daughters and the grandparents of his eldest daughter’s son.
The series initially ran for six seasons on ABC from 2011 to 2017 and joined the union in 2015. One year later, Fox revealed that he’d picked up the show for the seventh season, which premiered on September 28, 2018.

The series tracks Mike Baxter, a senior executive and marketing officer for an outdoor sports goods store chain based in Denver, Colorado. His home life was initially filled with his wife, three children, and a grandson, but later spread to the young men who were married to or dating his daughters.
