Created by Dick Wolf, Law & Order is an American police procedural and legal drama television series. The series first aired on NBC on September 13, 1990, and completed its 20th season on May 24, 2010, ten days after its initial cancellation.
On September 28, 2021, NBC announced that the series would be revived for the 21st season, which premiered on February 24, 2022. On May 10, 2022, the series was renewed by NBC for the 22nd season.

Law & Order Plot and Cast
Since Law & Order was recently renewed for the 22nd season, details related to the plot about the upcoming seasons are too less. However, it will continue from where Season 21 ended.
The basic premise of the show follows a two-part approach: the first half-hour is the investigation of a crime, usually murder, and the apprehension of a suspect by New York City Police Department detectives; the second half is the prosecution of the defendant by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. Plots are often based on real cases that recently made headlines, although the motivation for the crime and the perpetrator may be different.
Coming to the cast, there have been frequent changes since the show’s premiere in 1990. However, sources around the internet state that Christopher Meloni, Kelli Giddish, Philip Winchester, and Anthony Anderson would play the lead roles. Further additions are expected to be announced soon.
Law & Order Season 22 Release Date
The makers have renewed the show on May 10, 2022, and it is set to be aired on Thursday, September 22 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. But it is not confirmed yet.
