Since Law & Order was recently renewed for a 22nd season, details related to the plot about the upcoming seasons is too less. However, it will definitely continue from where Season 21 ended.

The basic premise of the show follows a two-part approach: the first half-hour is the investigation of a crime, usually murder, and apprehension of a suspect by New York City Police Department detectives; the second half is the prosecution of the defendant by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. Plots are often based on real cases that recently made headlines, although the motivation for the crime and the perpetrator may be different.

Coming to the cast, there have been frequent changes since the show’s premiere in 1990. However, sources around the internet states that Christopher Meloni, Kelli Giddish, Philip Winchester and Anthony Anderson would play the lead roles. Further additions are expected to be announced soon.
