Lenovo Z5 Pro with bezel-less display and In-display FP Unveiled in China



Lenovo today unveiled its new flagship i.e. Lenovo Z5 Pro today at a launch event held in China. With this new smartphone, the company aims to distribute multiple new technologies that too at a very aggressive pricing. Let’s discuss the device in detail.

Lenovo Z5 Pro Specifications & Features

The Lenovo Z5 Pro comes with a large 6.39-inch AMOLED display with a Full-HD+ resolution of 2340×1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The sliding mechanism which hides the front cameras without any notch results in an impressive screen to body ratio of 95%. Below the display resides an In-Display fingerprint scanner and as you’d notice, there is no physical fingerprint scanner present on the device.

Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC coupled with Adreno 616 GPU. It comes with 6GB of RAM in 64GB and 128GB storage options which can be further expanded up to 256GB via a MicroSD Card.

The phone gets a total of four cameras, the dual camera setup on the back comprises a 16-megapixel Sony IMX519 sensor and a 24-megapixel Sony IMX576 sensor, both with an aperture of f/1.8. On the front, we have yet another combination of a 16-megapixel primary selfie shooter and an 8-megapixel IR sensor which aids for the face unlock feature in dark as well.

On the software front, the smartphone runs on Lenovo’s own ZUI based on Android 8.1 Oreo and is backed by a 3,350mAh battery that supports fast charging. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, GPS and USB Type C.

Lenovo Z5 Pro Pricing and Availability

The Lenovo Z5 Pro comes for a price of CNY 1,998 (roughly Rs. 21,400) for the base model with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage while the top-end 128GB storage variant is priced at CNY 2,298 (roughly Rs. 24,300). The device will be made available in Ceramic black color option, starting from Nov 11 in China.
