Written by Susannah Grant, Lessons in Chemistry is an upcoming drama television series. The show is based on a novel of the same name. The executive producers of the show are Jason Bateman, Michael Costigan, Susannah Grant, and Brie Larson.

It was announced in January 2021 that Apple TV+ had issued a straight-to-series order for the show and the series began production by August 2022.

Set in the early 1960s, Lessons in Chemistry follows Elizabeth Zott (Larson), whose dream of being a scientist is put on hold in a society deeming that women belong in the domestic sphere, not the professional one. When Elizabeth finds herself pregnant, alone, and fired from her lab, she musters the ingenuity only a single mother has. She accepts a job as a host on a TV cooking show, and sets out to teach a nation of overlooked housewives — and the men who are suddenly listening — a lot more than recipes … all the while craving a return to her true love: science.

Coming to the cast, it includes Brie Larson as Elizabeth Zott, Lewis Pullman as Calvin, Aja Naomi King as Harriet Slone, Stephanie Koenig as Fran Frank, Patrick Walker as Wakely, Thomas Mann as Boryweitz, Kevin Sussman as Walter, and Beau Bridges as Wilson.

Lessons in Chemistry Release Date

The makers of the show have not announced the specific release date of the latest television series. But it is confirmed that the show is due to debut in 2023 on Apple TV+.
