LG V40 ThinQ launched; 5 Cameras!



LG has officially launched it’s new device, LG V40 ThinQ in an event in New York which took place this Wednesday. This new device is a successor to the LG V30 which was released last year. This is the first device from LG which comes with five cameras, three on the back and two towards the front side.

The LG V40 ThinQ sports a 6.4-inch QHD+ display which comes with a resolution of 1440*3120 pixels, also a FullVision OLED panel which comes in 19:5:9 aspect ratio along with the Gorilla Glass 5 Protection. This device is powered by the latest octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC which is coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device also comes with improved Boombox Speakers, and also other features such as IP68 water protection, and Military-grade build.

So now let’s talk about the most important upgrades of this mobile, the camera. The LG V40 comes with a unique triple camera setup out of which the primary one comes with 12MP with an aperture of f/1.5, secondary camera 16MP ultra wide with f/1.9 aperture, and the third sensor comes with a 12MP telephoto lens which comes with an aperture of f/2.4. Coming towards the front side of the device, the primary camera is an 8MP shooter and the second one is a 5MP shooter.

Additionally, this triple camera setup shoots three shots simultaneously and then the user an option to check and select the best one. The rear Cameras comes with Dual Phase Detection, HDR, and also the all-new updated AI mode. Additionally, this AI mode recognizes up to 19 different subjects and also 4 optimized filter options.

This device supports the latest USB type-C post and does come with a headphone jack! Out of the box, the device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and the Android P update is expected to arrive soon. This device will be available in four different colors, Aurora Black, Moroccan Blue, Platinum Gray, and Carmine Red color options and is priced at Rs.66,400.
