Created by Taylor Sheridan, Lioness is an upcoming spy thriller television series developed for Paramount+. Taylor Sheridan, Jill Wagner, David Glasser, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman, and Geyer Kosinski are the executive producers of the show.

Lioness is based on a real-life CIA program. Lioness was announced in September 2020 as part of a Paramount+ programming slate unveiling. Production for the series has begun in June 2022.

The official series of the description says that it is about Cruz Manuelos, who is a Marine who recently joined the Lioness Engagement Team of the CIA. The group aims to bring an end to a terrorist organization.

Coming to the cast, it includes Zoe Saldaña as Joe, Laysla De Oliveira as Cruz Manuelos, Dave Annable as Neil, LaMonica Garrett as Two Cups, James Jordan as Tucker, Austin Hébert as Randy, Jonah Wharton as Tex, Hannah Love Lanier as Kate, Nicole Kidman as Kaitlyn Meade, Morgan Freeman as Edwin Mullins, Sam Asghari as Kamal, and more.

Lioness Release Date

The production for the upcoming series has begun in June 2021 and the filming has just begun in January 2023, in Mallorca.
