Lockwood & Co: Release Date, Plot, and more!

Directed by Joe Cornish, Lockwood & Co is an upcoming British detective thriller television series for Netflix. Cornish is also the executive producer along with Nira Park and Rachael Prior.

On 19 May 2020, it was announced that the production company Complete Fiction was working with Netflix to develop the series. The series is based on Jonathan Stroud’s book series of the same name and is set to release very soon.

Lockwood & Co Plot and Cast

In Lockwood & Co, England is blighted by a ghost epidemic, which sees ghouls stalk the streets. These supernatural beings have the power to bring death to everyone they meet, except children. To fight back against the ghosts several agencies have formed and we follow quick-tempered heroine Lucy Carlyle who moves to London and joins the small psychic detection agency called Lockwood & Co.

It’s run by charismatic teen Anthony Lockwood and his assistant George Cubbin. Armed with state-of-the-art tools and bucketloads of courage, the trio faces some of the deadliest hauntings in the capital, as well as fierce competition from their more prominent rival agencies.

Now coming to the cast, it includes Ruby Stokes as Lucy Carlyle, Cameron Chapman as Anthony Lockwood, Ali Hadji-Heshmati as George Karim, Ivanno Jeremiah as Inspector Barnes, and Luke Treadaway as The Golden Blade. We will also get to see Morven Christie as Penelope Fittes, Jack Bandeira as Quill Kipps, Ben Crompton as Julius Winkman, Hayley Konadu as Flo Bones, Rhianna Dorris as Kat Godwin, and many others.

Lockwood & Co Release Date

Filming began on 5 July 2021 in London at the Kensal Green Cemetery in late October 2021. The series wrapped on 15 March 2022 in London.

Lockwood & Co is set to release on October 31, 2022, on Netflix, with eight episodes. So, till then you just have to wait for it.
