Created by Julio Torres, Ana Fabrega, and Fred Armisen, Los Espookys is an American comedy crime thriller television series from HBO. Armisen is also the executive producer alongside Lorne Michaels, and Andrew Singer, and the show is being produced by Broadway Video, Más Mejor, Antigravico, and Fabula.

The first season of the series premiered on June 14, 2019, and concluded on June 19, 2019. The show has received positive reviews from critics and currently holds an approval rating of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. The series has been already renewed for a second season.

Los Espookys Season 2 Plot and Cast

In the first season of the series Los Espookys, we have seen four friends start a new business that is based on their shared love of horror. A woman calls Los Espookys to scare five people vying to win the fortune of a millionaire by staying one night at his haunted home.

After that, Renaldo gets tasked with ensuring the man’s son does not win, and also agrees to a difficult stunt to crown a winner. Later, Tico is in LA, and in the art-world spotlight just after a mistaken identity case. After that, Renaldo builds a tourist attraction for a seaside town.

After that, Tico eyes a new partnership for Los Espookys. Later, Los Espookys fake abduction in exchange for work visas. Tico helps co-write a new horror film and after that, Los Espookys tries to help a high-maintenance researcher bring aliens to life. Ursula and Andres are left to make a plan for a fake dream for an insomnia patient. Let’s see what happens next.

Now talking about the cast, it includes Cassandra Ciangherotti as Ursula, Ana Fabrega as Tati, Julio Torres as Andres, Bernando Velasco as Renaldo, and Fred Armisen as Tico. We will also get to see Jose Pablo Minor as Juan Carlos, Spike Einbinder as Water’s Shadow, River L. Ramirez as Sonia, Giannina Fruttero as Beatriz, and Adela Calderon as Mama.

Los Espookys Season 2 Release Date

A second season was ordered in July 2019 but was delayed because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Filming for the second season concluded in February 2022 and considering that, Season 2 should release by the end of 2022.

The new season might consist of six episodes like Season 1. However, the makers are yet to reveal further information related to the second season.
