“I have a lot of noise in my head.”
The show too had created a lot of noise since its premiere on June 14, 2019, on HBO. The American comedy series Los Espookys had been created by Julio Torres, Ana Fabrega, and Fred Armisen. After 100% approval from the viewers, the show stepped forward and renewed for the second season in the month of July last year. As the name suggests, Los Espookys is primarily in Spanish where “a group of friends who turn their love for horror into a peculiar business, providing horror to those who need it, in a dreamy Latin American country where the strange and eerie are just part of daily life.” The series is available on HBO NOW, HBO GO, HBO On Demand, and partners’ streaming platforms.
The episode names of Los Espookys are quite interesting, for instance, The Exorcism, The Sea Monster, The Cursed Mirror, or The Fake Dream. The six episodes long drama is set in a strange and dreamy version of present-day Mexico City. On July 2, 2018, it was announced that HBO had given the production, titled Los Espookys, a series order for a first season. Alongside the pilot order announcement, it was confirmed that the pilot would star Bernardo Velasco, Cassandra Ciangherotti, Ana Fabrega, Julio Torres, and Fred Armisen. It is executive produced by Lorne Michaels and Fred Armisen, along with Broadway Video’s Andrew Singer and Alice Mathias. The series is co-executive produced by Ana Fabrega, Julio Torres, and Nate Young.
Los Espookys is front lined by Bernardo Velasco as Renaldo, Julio Torres as Andrés, Cassandra Ciangherotti as Úrsula, Ana Fabrega as Tati and Fred Armisen as Tico.
