Created by Sigal Avin, Losing Alice is a psychological thriller, made for Hot 3 and Apple TV+. Avin is also the executive producer alongside Guy Levi, Tamar Mozes-Borovitz, Nadiv Palti and Jonathan Paran.

The first season of the series premiered on Hot 3 on June 18, 2020 and internationally on January 22, 2021 on Apple TV+. The series received positive reviews from critics and audiences, and currently holds an approval rating of 75% on Rotten Tomatoes. Considering the positive response, the makers have already renewed the series for a second season.

Losing Alice Plot and Cast

Although the makers have not revealed much about the plot of Losing Alice Season 2, it will definitely continue from where the first season ended. Details shall be revealed soon.

The basic premise follows Alice Ginor a 48-year-old esteemed filmmaker who feels stuck professionally, old externally, no longer relevant and tired in the face of the endless energy of her three daughters, whom she raises together with David, a successful and coveted actor. One day, in a chance meeting on the train, Alice meets Sophie, a promising young femme fatale screenwriter in her 20s, who introduces herself as a fan of Alice and dreams that Alice will direct the script she wrote.

Sophie’s talent, youth and erupting sexuality arouse Alice, who develops an obsession with her and puts her into her professional, family and sexual life. In what appears to be a conscious choice, Alice is drawn into Sophie’s dark and destructive world, and as the plot progresses and twists it is no longer clear who has penetrated whose life, who takes and who gives, and who will lead whom to the fatal end.

Coming to the cast, the leads of Season 1 should come back to reprise their roles. This includes Ayelet Zarur, Lihi Kornowski, Gal Toren, Shai Avivi, Chelli Goldenberg, Nova Doval and Yossi Marshek.

Losing Alice Season 2 Release Date

The first season of Losing Alice premiered in 2020 and it was later renewed for a second season. Although there have been no updates on the development of Season 2, we can expect it sometime in 2022.

The upcoming season might consist of eight episodes like the first season. The series is produced by Dori Media Group and distributed by Cineflix.
