Lucifer Season 5: Release Date, Plot, Cast and Updates!
Published
4 years agoon
After an almost literal downfall of Lucifer, Netflix managed to take over the show from FOX from the fourth season. And it owes to the massive fan support and campaigns demanding the revival of the show. But can we just take a moment and realize the fact of how biblical the show’s fate is?
With a total of 67 episodes, Lucifer started back in 2016 and developed by Tom Kapinos was based on the DC Comics character created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg taken from the comic book series The Sandman. The early seasons of Lucifer were added to Netflix at the beginning of 2019 and although all of the previous seasons aren’t available on Netflix everywhere, season four premiered exclusively on Netflix around the world on May 8th, 2019.
What is the status of the fifth season?
The post-production of the fifth season was disrupted due to the pandemic, but fortunately, the first half is baked and is ready to get out of the oven. The last season saw a massive hit, breaking records of many all-time hit series like Game of Thrones, much to the fact of revival. Well, there hasn’t been any announcement of the official release date but fans are expecting it to be very soon, maybe in a few months. Screenwriter Ildy Modrovich confirmed the same. Now, it is just a matter of time.
I hope I don’t get in trouble saying… the premiere date is coming SOON!!! Like… soon soon. #Finally #luciferseason5date #Lucifer #LuciferSeason5 https://t.co/xoQZT4ahbF

But the sad news is that the fifth season would be the farewell to the wonderful show. In a statement to Hollywood Reporter, Netflix said: “We are thrilled that Lucifer fans around the world have embraced this series on Netflix, and we can’t wait to give them the big finish they’ve all been waiting for.”
What is the story of the show?
The series is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Television, DC Entertainment, and Warner Bros. Television and tells the tale Lucifer Morningstar, who was thrown out of heaven for betrayal and lands up in hell, soon to leave for Los Angeles, eventually running his own nightclub and getting involved in a murder case which turned him into a consultant at the LAPD. The show has got a huge fanbase mainly because of the amalgamation of the Biblical reference and the Earthly human life flavor.
One fan says,
“The uncanny humor with a touch of the eternal theme is exactly “what I desire” when I relax and turn on Netflix. The writers tiptoe through the Genesis Bible stories we all grew up with giving plot lines such weight as we all wonder just what those first created human souls could have been like as portrayed by such a talented cast.”
Who are the casts?
Lucifer stars Tom Ellis as Lucifer, Lauren German as Chloe, D. B. Woodside as Amenadiel, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen, Kevin Alejandro as Detective Dan, Scarlett Estevez as Trixie, Rachael Harris as Dr. Linda and many more.
A brown girl who is a homebody and still figuring out the twists and turns of life.
