“Making the Cut” is all set for being a another big thing in the history of fashion television

There’s a very good news for the fans of the fashion industry that the most amazing duo of this industry Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn are hopeful that Amazon will renew “Making the Cut” for a second season. Season 1 of this series was very much attractive and gained a lot of positive reviews and compliments from the critics. Meanwhile, this show is giving an opportunity to the young designers to show off their talent and creativity and gain a spot as the new fashion ambassador.

“Making the Cut” is an American reality television series created and presented by Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn. It is a reality competition to select the best designer out of the 12 other people. It also has huge prize money of 1 million dollars and the winner will get a chance to sell his/ her clothes on Amazon and make it a global brand. This show is also regarded as a matter of entertainment and business as well,  for the company.

Cast

“Making the Cut ” is created and hosted by Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn. It has a total of 5 international judges namely – Naomi Campbell, Nicole Richie, Chiara Ferragni, Carine Roitfeld, and Joseph Altuzarra. Participants include – Esther peebandt, Jonny Cota, Sander Bos, Megan Smith, Ji Won Choi, Rinat Brodach, Sabato Ruso, Will Riddle, Troy Arnold, Joshua Huppee, Martha Gotwald, and jasmine Chong.

Premise

In the first episode of season 1, the contestants took off to Paris where they were asked to design two looks that represent their brand quality. Gunn gave his iconic advice to every contestant, some took it seriously while others made a fatal mistake to ignore it. The most important part of the episode was the runway, which was sat in front of the Eiffel Tower.

Klum with other judges Naomi Campbell, Nicole Riche with the fashion editor Carine Roitfeld and designer Joseph Altuzarra joined the audience for their judgment. While Gunn decided to stay backstage and provides his support to the designers. Esther perbandt was the winner of the first episode while the overall Runner up. Jonny Cota banged up the title and the opportunity.

Release status

Season 1 was premiered on 27 March 2020, on Prime Video with the release of the first 2 episodes. Lest 2 episodes were released on April 24, 2020. There’s still not an official announcement by the Amazon to renew the second season while the hopes for it are very high. Klum and Gunn have also shown their excitement for the new season, therefore we have to wait for the official Announcement.
