MCU Fan Elaborates Character arcs of Tony Stark and Steve Rogers! Know more

YouTube has always been a place for creative freedom especially when you have a whole universe to explore, a universe which has been written, created and designed by fellow humans. Earlier,  YouTube exploded when a video surfaced which explained and elaborated the character arcs followed by Iron Man and Captain America in all the 9 instalments of MCU meaning from the birth of their superhero mentality to the destination which satisfied both their human and superhuman nature. Tony Stark ended up being dead and Steve Rogers created a whole new life for himself, but this is not what MCU is about, the development of human consciousness which has been explored in all the 9 movies together tells a beautiful story.

The video explains the three-act structure of a screenplay and how it is divided into three major regions, first is the thesis i.e. the developments, reprise or formation of original ideas of a character, second is anti-thesis i.e. the contrasting ideas, opinions or scenarios that the character faces, third is synthesis i.e. formation of new ideas which are more progressive and form a better version of pliable morality.

“The Marvel Cinematic Universe, also known as the Infinity Saga, features multifaceted, three-dimensional characters. In particular, Iron Man and Captain America have compelling and complete arcs that span the series’ impressive run. This video dives into those arcs to examine how they’re introduced as flawed characters, demonstrate how they’re forced into extreme and opposite positions at the midpoint of their journeys, and explore how the completion of their character arcs leads to balance and closure for both heroes, quotes the video’s description.

In many scenarios, the video stands dauntingly true. Tony Stark started his journey being a selfish narcissistic man who saves the world and tells the world about it to get the extra attention while being a playboy. Contrary to Stark, Steve Rogers starts his journey being bullied which encourages him to go into the army, after the struggles that he faces, he decides to work for humanity selflessly by even leaving his love aside. Both the characters come face to face throughout the movies and challenge each others’ conception of morality, life and philosophy, the best part is, at the end both realise that they’ve been wrong somewhere and decide to change their lives with Iron Man’s self-less death and Captain America travelling back in time to meet his love and create a whole new life.

The video explores Marvel as a franchise which not only creates movies for kids but for people who have a better understanding of films in general. The point is- video proves MCU can also be put in the category of “Cinema” as opposed to the opposite idea circulated by film giants like Martin Scorsese. My only take is that it’ll always be a movie for the people who love it and it’ll always be trash for mature audiences who seeks wisdom in the art (lol, Just Kidding).

Satyarth

I do not hate people, but I despise their existence. Hi, I’m an actor, writer, poet, visual artist, a man of science and also the least favourite person in my family. Our beloved Hemingway, once said "There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed." I believed in this quote humbly, truly and faithfully, now I have Anemia. I hope you like my works and if you do then please tell the President about it (seriously, all we want is fame).
