During this pandemic, franchises like Marvel, DC, etc have time to time renewed their release dates, although we don’t see productions starting anytime soon and it is a possibility that the release dates shift more and more, in that case, it is really hard to remember each and every release date and ponder upon your favorite movies, we have brought you a simple solution, we will be combining the release dates of MCU and other Marvel movies and updating it from time to time in the form of a calendar so that all of us can comfortably schedule our excitements for our movies.
Black Widow
Release date: November 6, 2020.
Directed by Case Shortland, Black widow tells the story of Natasha Romanoff, a highly trained deadly assassin and S.H.E.I.L.D. agent following the events of Avengers: Civil War (2016), it features Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh among others. Earlier the release date was May 1, 2020, so we cannot say if the dates won’t change again.
The Eternals
Release Date: February 12, 2021.
Directed by Chloe Zhao and written by Matthew and Ryan Firpo, the movie is already in post-production. One aspect of the film is a love story between Ikaris and Sersi. The cast features Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Angelina Jolie as Thena, Gemma Chan as Sersi, and Kit Harrington as The Black Knight.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
Release Date: May 7, 2021.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and written by Dave Callaham, the movie is about Shang Chi, the Bronze Age Martial arts savior. The cast features Simu Liu as Shang Chi and Tony Leung as The Mandarin.
Morbius
Release Date: March 19, 2021.
Based on the “Spider-Man” human turned Vampire villain “Morbius”, the movie is directed by Daniel Espinosa and written by Matt Sazama, the cast features the Oscar-winning actor Jared Leto as Morbius.
Venom 2
Release Date: June 25, 2021.
Andy Serkis comes in as the new director and Woody Harrelson’s character “Carnage” will be the new villain. Tom Hardy will reprise as “Venom”. The first instalment in this “Spider-Man” spin-off garnered huge profit in the box office despite opening to really bad reviews.
Spider-Man 3
Release Date: November 5, 2021.
The movie doesn’t have a title yet, nor a director confirmed. The only good news is Marvel and Sony have solved their internal matters and “Spider-Man” is happening, we can also see J.K Simmons as J.Jonah Jameson again!
Thor: Love and Thunder
Release Date: February 11, 2021.
Oscar-winning Taika Waititi is back in his chair after the glamorous and critical success of “Thor: Ragnarok”. Along with other members, Chris Hemsworth will return and Natalie Portman will play the “Female Thor”, Christian Bale has also joined the cast but we don’t know yet to what capacity.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
Release Date: March 25, 2022.
Just like MCU, this movie might also open a series of other cinematic universes. Directed by the much-acclaimed original “Spider-Man” trilogy director Sam Raimi the movie can also feature Jericho Drumm or “Brother Voodoo”.
Black Panther 2
Release Date: May 6, 2022.
Directed by Ryan Coogler, the first instalment was one of the highest-grossing movies at the box office and had almost positive reviews everywhere, it even captured a “Best Picture” Oscar nomination.
Captain Marvel 2
Release Date: July 8, 2022.
The original movie garnered over 1.1 billion dollars at the box-office and so it was confirmed that a sequel was coming. WandaVision writer Megan Mcdonell will scribe the screenplay.
