About the show:

Contestants battle the walls of their brains to answer questions correctly, quickly, and precisely. Rob Lowe hosts this mental obstacle course. Not only will the course put their understanding, memory, puzzle-solving, and sequencing skills to the test, but players will also be physically transported around the set at high speeds in a specially built capsule that can rotate 360 degrees. In a game that everyone can play but almost no one can win, people from all walks of life participate — and the underdogs win.

Toby Gorman, Brooke Karzen, Jeff Apploff, Noah Bonnett, and Arthur Smith, and Mike Darnell serve as executive producers on this episode of Mental Samurai. The film is produced by Rob Lowe and shot in Warner Bros Studios in California and Lisbon, Portugal. The second season was shot in Lisbon, Portugal.

Warner Horizon Television, Apploff Entertainment, and A.smith & Co. productions are the production companies. Many of those shots would include camera setups, and the Multi-camera setup team handled the camera setup for this game show.

Here’s what Lowe had to say about his role in Mental Samurai on Variety when asked about it: “When I was 15, I won big on ‘The $10,000 Pyramid. I’ve loved mental competition shows ever since. For me, ‘Mental Samurai’ is addicting. Every time you play, you think: ‘THIS time I’m gonna win!’ But this very simple game is almost impossible to crack. Also, as a producer, I’m excited to get into this new arena.”
