Mind Hunter Season 3: Release date and other details

Mindhunter, the Netflix drama based on the true story of the man who pioneered the science of profiling serial killers. It is based on the novel ‘ The Mind Hunter’ written by John E Douglas and Mark Olshaker. This American crime thriller series premiered on Oct 13, 2017. The second season was released on Aug 16, 2019. Hands down, it is one of Netflix’s best original series. Now the question is when will the third season? Why is this series on indefinite hold?

Primarily it was heard that the series was on hold as director David Fincher is busy with multiple projects. Since Season 2 of Mindhunter was aired in August 2019, fans are highly looking forward to knowing its development in production and possible release period. Netflix has stopped production for the series’ third season. The reason has not been revealed. This may be due to internal issues in the production team.

Production for Mindhunter Season 3 can’t currently be expected as the world is combating against coronavirus pandemic. The outbreak of Covid-19 has severely hit the global entertainment industry. It is safe to expect the third season earliest by 2021 or 2022.

What to Expect from Season 3 is the probable return of Anna Torv. Also, the addition of new characters who can play vital roles and create more suspense in the series. Though we can’t be certain about season 3, we can try and speculate the story and obviously the star cast. For now, all we can do is sit somewhere calmly and patiently wait for the next season of this brainstorming, mindboggling series.
