Out of all the movie productions that have been halted, Mission Impossible 7 is one of them. The filming for the movie was about to begin in Italy just when Italy majorly got hit by Covid-19 and became one of the first European countries to suffer immensely from the virus. Since then the whole world is under lockdown, people are maintaining social distance, and the filming and production of movies are shut down. But there is a light of hope as Mission Impossible seeks to start the filming for its seventh installment in September.
The Assistant Director, Tommy Gormley told Deadline about the production restarting in September at Venice. Besides Venice, there is many locations that the movie needs to be shot at, and as of now, they’re certain to shoot at those same places which were planned beforehand. Production will be work till late 2020, as two movies are supposed to film back to back which is Mission Impossible 7 and 8.
The initial plan of releasing the two movies in the franchise of Mission Impossible was supposedly in the summer of 2021 and 2022, but with the current situation, the dates have been pushed to November 2021 and 2022. Italy is gradually recovering from the hard-hit of the Covid19, and September would hopefully be a good time to restart filming. Things in the future hopefully would be in a far better place than it is right now.
The productions have been taking care and trying to bring in some changes with avoiding certain scenes with extras and big crowds, and this will be seen in many coming movies, especially in the early days of filming. Work is getting back to normal in a lot of places that include film industries as well. The simple desire of many people in the industry is to get back to work-life this means to run television programs and the production of movies. By July hopefully, the nations will work towards opening public places such as theaters and malls, as some movies are scheduled to July theatrical release.
