Monarch Plot and Cast
Monarch is a multigenerational musical drama about the Romans. The family is headed by Dottie Roman and Albie Roman who have created a country music dynasty together. However, the origins of the dynasty are not what they seem to be. Roman’s daughter Nicky Roman steps in and does all she can to protect the dynasty’s reign in country music while ensuring her stardom.
The main cast of the show includes Trace Adkins as Albie Roman, Beth Ditto as Gigi Taylor-Roman, Anna Friel as Nicolette Roman, Martha Higareda as Catt Phoenix, Emma Milani as Ana Phoenix, Iñigo Pascual as Ace Grayson, Susan Sarandon as Dottie Cantrell Roman and Joshua Sasse as Luke Roman.
We would also get to see Eva Amurri as Dottie Cantrell Roman, Adam Croasdell as Clive Grayson, Meagan Holder as Kayla Taylor-Roman, Derrick Lemmon as CMA Elite, Faith Prince as Nellie Cantrell, Callum Kerr as Wade Stellings and Kevin Cahoon as Earl Clark.
Monarch Release Date
Monarch was announced in May 2021. Michael Rauch was the original showrunner and one of the executive producers but he was replaced by Jon Feldman in November 2021.
Principal photography for the show began on September 13, 2021, and is scheduled to conclude on March 31, 2022, in Atlanta, Georgia. Monarch was originally scheduled to premiere on January 30, 2022. However, it has been postponed to allow more promotional campaign and a new release date is yet to be announced.
