Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area is a South Korean television series and the second series in the Money Heist franchise, based on the original Spanish series. The first 6 episodes of the series were released on June 24, 2022, on Netflix.
The Korean series directed by Kim Hong-sun and written by Ryu Yong-jae, the series depicts a hostage crisis situation set in a unified Korean Peninsula, involving a genius strategist and people with different personalities and abilities.

In June 2020, it was reported that BH Entertainment was planning for a remake of Money Heist which premiered on June 24, 2022, on Netflix. The series is consists of 12 episodes and the first, six-season episodes were released but there is no release date for the remaining 6 episodes of the season.
Since the first season of the series is yet to be completed so, there is no release date for the second season.

The first season follows both a remake and spin-off/continuation of the Spanish TV drama, following the storyline and characters of the original. “The Professor” (Yoo Ji-tae), a strategist criminal mastermind, plans to pull off a heist in the reunified Korean Peninsula inspired by those in Spain. The operation involves strategists and desperados with different characteristics and abilities, who have to face unusual situations. Thieves overtake the mint of a unified Korea. With hostages trapped inside, the police must stop them and the shadowy mastermind behind it all.
The cast of the series includes Yoo Ji-tae, Park Hae-soo, Jeon Jong-seo, Lee Hyun-woo, Lee Won-jong, Park Myung-hoon, and more.
