Moonbase 8 is an American comedy television series that will be released on Showtime. Fred Armisen, Tim Heidelberg, Jonathan Krisel and John C. Reilly created the series while Jonathan Krisel directed the show. Steven Drozd composed the music for the series while Fred Armisen, Tim Heidecker, Jonathan Krisel, John C. Reilly and Dave Kneebone worked as the executive producers for the show.
Antigravico, Interesting Solutions, Harlequitten Inc., Top Drawer, Entertainment Inc., Abso Lutely Productions and A24 worked as the production companies. Showtime works to distribute the series.

Moonbase 8: Plot and Cast
Showtime details the plot of the series as such:
“Fred Armisen, Tim Heidecker and John C. Reilly star in this new comedy series as three astronauts stationed at NASA’s Moon Base Simulator in a remote part of the Arizona desert.
While working vigorously to qualify for their first lunar mission, they encounter many obstacles including loneliness, self-doubt and their own incompetence. In spite of it all, they remain determined to prove they have the right stuff to reach the moon.”
John C. Reilly plays Robert “Cap” Caputo. He is a former helicopter tour pilot but he claims to be a veteran in the military. Tim Heidecker plays Professor Scott “Rook” Sloan. He is a Christian who wants to spread the word of Jesus Christ all around the Universe.
Fred Armisen plays Dr. Michael “Skip” Henai. He is the son of an astronaut. Travis Kielce plays himself in the series, as he does some stunts for the astronaut program on behalf of NASA. Adam Lambert plays Billy while Thomas Mann plays Cooper and Alia Shawkat plays Alix.
