Mortal Kombat: Plot and Cast
The plot of the movie hasn’t been set out by the creators yet; however, we think it likely involves a grand tournament where people battle to prevent catastrophe on Earth. Such a catastrophe could take place due to the appearance of the Outworld Emperor Shao Khan. The writers promise to include a lot of violence in the movie and stay true to the video game.
Ludi Lin will play the role of Liu Kang, the main male protagonist. Ludi Lin has previously played a video-game character role in the Black Mirror episode of ‘Striking Vipers’. So, there is no doubt that this lead role will be a bit nostalgic for him. He also appeared as a character in the movies Power Rangers and Aquaman.
Joe Taslim plays the role of Bi-Han or Sub Zero. Tadanobu Asano plays Raiden while Jessica McNamee plays Sonya Blade. Mehcad Brooks plays Jackson “Jax” Briggs while Josh Lawson plays Kano.
Chin Han plays Shang Tsung while Hiroyuki Sanada plays Hanzo Hasashi or the Scorpion. Max Huang plays Kung Lao, Sisi Stringer plays Mileena and Elissa Cadwell plays Nitara.
