Motorola One Vision launched in India at Rs 19,999

Motorola today launched the Motorola One Vision for the Indian market at an event in New Delhi. The Android One smartphone was first launched in Brazil like many Motorola smartphones. It’s a solid mid-range device competing against the likes of the recently unveiled Galaxy M40 and the upcoming Redmi K20.

Motorola One Vision specifications

The Motorola One Vision features a glass sandwich design with gradient finish on the back. The smartphone comes with a 6.3 inch LCD display with a punch-hole design. It has a resolution of FHD+ (1080 x 2520 pixels), 21:9 aspect ratio and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.

The Lenovo-owned company claims the CinemaVision display maximizes the viewing experience as most films are recorded in 21:9 aspect ratio. Many web streaming services have also adopted the same aspect ratio for their content. Smartphones like the Sony Xperia 1 and the Xperia 10 Plus previously adopted the CinemaVision display, but with OLEDs.

The Motorola One Vision doesn’t come with a Snapdragon chipset and instead houses a Samsung Exynos 9690 chipset clocked at 2.2 GHz. There is one storage configuration of 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. There is an option of expansion up to 512GB via microSD card.

On the optics department, the handset packs a dual camera setup on the rear consisting of a 48MP primary camera with f/1.7 lens and a 5MP secondary sensor. Interestingly, the phone has OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) support which is rare in this segment. On the front, there is a 35MP camera with f/2.0 aperture residing on the punch-hole. The cameras come with quad-pixel technology that combines four pixels into one for more quality images.

There is a fingerprint sensor at the rear that has Motorola’s famous batwing logo. When it comes to ports, there is a 3.5mm jack on the top and a UBS Type-C at the bottom with the speaker grill. The phone runs Android 9 Pie and being an Android One device means it will get regular security updates and two major OS versions. It draws power from a 3,500 mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.

Pricing and Availability

The Motorola One Vision comes at a price of Rs 19,999 for the single 4GB/128GB variant. There is Bronze Gradient and Sapphire Gradient color options to choose from. The handset will go on sale from June 27 exclusively via Flipkart. There are launch offers in the first week (June 27 –July 4) such as no-cost EMI for 6 months on all credit and debit cards. Vodafone customers will be getting Rs 3,750 cashback and 250GB additional data.
