Ms. Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries: Plot and Cast
The female lead character of the show, Ms. Peregrine Fisher, is the niece of Phryne Fisher and daughter of Annabelle Fisher. She comes to Melbourne to collect inheritance from her aunt and finds herself embroiled in the murder of a dead model at a fashion show. She wishes to join the Adventuresses’ Club just like her aunt and thus takes on several murder cases in the future.
One even involves Peregrine’s ex-boyfriend in the murder of a television show singer, and another involves aliens and UFOs. The season ends with the murder of a chef followed by an investigation by Peregrine.
Geraldine Hakewill was cast as Peregrine Fisher, while Joel Jackson plays Detective James Steed and Catherine Mc Clements plays Birdie Birnside. Other cast members include James Mason as Eric Wild, Toby Truslove as Samuel Birnside and Louisa Mignone who plays Violetta Felini in episode two. Greg Stone steps in for the role of Chief Inspector Percy Sparrow and Katie Robertson appears as Constable Fleur Connor.
Ms. Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries Season 2: Release Date and Updates
The first season of Ms. Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries had four episodes, which were all viewed to a great success. Acorn TV recently renewed the show for a second season, which will be released sometime in 2021. However, we have no updates about whether filming has started yet or if we can expect it to release next year. The show is highly liked by families and adults alike, so we expect to hear a good news soon!
