Muppets Now: Plot and Cast
Muppets Now features various Muppets, essentially talking puppets. It has various segments that are brought together by Scooter, the backstage manager in most of the Muppets shows. Some of the segments in the show are Lifestyle with Miss Piggy, Okey Dokey Kookin, Muppet Masters, Mup Close and Personal, Muppet Labs Field Test and Pepe’s Unbelievable Gameshow.
Miss Piggy offers lifestyle advice to celebrities and Muppets alike in her talk show. Some of the celebrities featured are RuPaul, Seth Rogen, Aubrey Plaza, Danny Trejo and Roy Choi. Dr. Bunsen Honeydew conducts science experiments in Muppet Labs Field along with Beaker. Beverly Plume hosts the cook show in which The Swedish Chef compete against guests and celebrity chefs.
The show is meant to be all fun and a treat as a relaxing weekend comedy. David Rudman voices Scooter, Peter Linz voices Walter, Julianne Buescher voices Beverly Plume and Bill Barretta voices Pepe the King Prawn as well as The Swedish Chef. Eric Jacobson voices Miss Piggy, Matt Vogel voices Uncle Deadly, Miss Piggy’s personal assistant, and Dave Goelz voices Dr. Bunsen Honeydew.
Muppets Now Season 2: Release Date and Updates
The first season of Muppets Now is currently on air on Disney+ and four out of six episodes have been aired so far. The last episode of the season is expected on September 4, 2020. Muppets Now has not yet been renewed for a second season. However, we await good news with happy smiles on our faces, laughing from Scooter’s antics!
