Agatha Christie’s world-renowned detective Hercule Poirot is returning to the big screens once again. The sequel to 2017 mystery thriller Murder on the Orient Express is coming, and it is coming very soon. Hercule Poirot will be back to solve another murder mystery, while on holiday in Egypt. The sequel, Death on the Nile, was announced in November 2017, soon after the release of the first film.

Cast of Death on the Nile
Kenneth Branagh will reprise his role of the famous detective Hercule Poirot. He will be directing the film as well. Michael Green wrote the screenplay for the first film. He has done so for the second film as well. No other cast members from the first film will be returning in the second film, as it follows a different story and a different murder mystery to be solved.
Gal Gadot has been cast to play the role of Linnet Ridgeway-Doyle. Letitia Wright will be playing the role of Rosalie Otterbourne. Armie Hammer will be portraying Simon Doyle and Annette Bening will be portraying the role of Euphemia. Ali Fazal has been cast to play the role of Andrew Katchadourian. Sophie Okonedo will be playing the role of Salome Otterbourne. Tom Bateman has been cast as Bouc and Emma Mackey as Jacqueline de Bellefort. Dawn French will be playing the role of Mrs. Bowers. Rose Leslie will be playing the role of Louise Bourget. Jennifer Saunders has been cast to play the role of Marie Van Schuyler. Russell Brand will be playing the role of Dr. Bessner.

Release Date of Death on the Nile
Fox first scheduled the release of the film on November 8, 2019. However, the release was postponed to December 2019 and then later pushed back to October 2, 2020. In July 2020, it was announced that Death on the Nile will be releasing on October 23, 2020.
