A mysterious and unnamed Motorola smartphone has surfaced online. It lacks any kind of notch or punch-hole on the display. If the device exists, it will be the first Motorola smartphone to have a notch-free display unlike the current line-up that comes with a punch-hole or some other kind of notch.

The images of the unknown Motorola smartphone were shared by popular tipster Evan Blass (aka @evleaks). Upon a closer look, the images reveal the front is not completely bezel-less and has a thick chin bezel. Unfortunately, it doesn’t show the rear of the device.
The camera on the front could be a pop-up camera as under-screen cameras are not market-ready yet. The volume rocker and the power button are located on the right side. The tweet doesn’t give away any other information about the specs of the smartphone.
Could it be the Moto G8?
As for the identity of the device, it is clearly not the Motorola One Zoom or the Motorola One Action as both the smartphones have been leaked multiple times. It could be the Moto G8 flagship smartphone that is expected to launch next year. This could also be a complete different device in a completely new series that Motorola may launch this year itself.
The Lenovo-owned company is rumoured to launch a new smartphone under the One series in the Indian market. Dubbed as the Motorola One Action, it has been spotted online multiple times. The leaks suggest it will feature a 6.3 inch FHD+ display and will be powered by a Exynos 9609 SoC paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
In the optics department, it will sport a triple camera setup at the rear with a 13MP primary camera. It has a 13MP selfie camera on the front for selfies placed inside the punch-hole. The company is hosting an event in India on August 23, where it is expected to unveil the phone.
