Narcos: Mexico is an American crime drama television series and Chris Brancato, Carlo Bernard, and Doug Miro created and produced it. The show premiered on Netflix on November 16, 2018. The show was initially intended to be the fourth season of the Netflix series Narcos. However, it was eventually developed as a companion series. This series focuses on the illegal drug trade in Mexico, whereas the parent series centred on the illegal drug trade in Colombia.
WHAT IS NARCOS: MEXICO ABOUT?
According to Wikipedia, “Narcos: Mexico explores the origin of the modern war on drugs, beginning at the time when Mexican traffickers were a loose and disorganized confederation of small-time independent cannabis growers and dealers. The series dramatizes the rise of the Guadalajara Cartel in the 1980s as Félix Gallardo (Diego Luna) unifies the traffickers in order to build an empire. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agent Kiki Camarena (Michael Peña) moves his wife and young son from California to Guadalajara to take on a new post, and he quickly learns that his assignment will be more challenging than he ever could have imagined.”
WHAT IS THE CAST FOR NARCOS: MEXICO?
The first cast member we see is Michael Peña portraying Kiki Camarena, a DEA agent who garners valuable intel about Félix’s organization. Diego Luna is seen as Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo, the leader of the Guadalajara Cartel and founder of the modern Mexican drug trade. Tenoch Huerta plays the role of Rafael “Rafa” Caro Quintero who is Felix’s partner. Alyssa Diaz acts as Mika Camarena who’s Kiki’s wife. José María Yazpik depicts the role of Amado Carrillo Fuentes, Felix’s partner and Neto’s nephew.
WHEN IS SEASON 3 OF NARCOS: MEXICO RELEASING?
Netflix confirmed the show for a third season on 28th October 2020. The official release date for this season has not been disclosed as of now. We will update it as soon as the season’s debut date has been released.
